Concerns regarding the potential development of resistance following the widespread use of antimicrobials have led to research into more effective ways of utilising these products. In 2011 Vétoquinol launched Forcyl, an innovative evolution of the marbofloxacin range of specialities for cattle, with a patented high concentration solution and dosing regimen. Forcyl is a short acting treatment which minimises the risk of resistance amongst commensal flora.
