This years LVS was a great success. The Onswitch team were kept busy showing people around Bertha and talking about the range of services we provide.
Everybody thought Bertha was a great training venue and we hope to see some of you aboard soon!

BVNA Congress - Big Chat, Kettering 2011
The Onswitch team were out in force this weekend at BVNA Congress at Kettering. We met lots of nurses at the ‘Big Chat’ and made lots of notes on your thoughts and views. We will be sending a case of wine to one of the people that stopped by to chat with us and will be announcing who the winner is very soon.
Below are some pictures of the day, and as you can see we were once again very busy. Thank you to all of you who took the time to come along to see us.

European Veterinary Conference VOORJAARSDAGEN,
in The Netherlands For Companion Animal Veterinarians, Equine Veterinarians and Veterinary Technicians - Amsterdam RAI, 27- 29 APRIL 2011.
The European Veterinary Conference “De Voorjaarsdagen” is, with 1000 attendants each day, the biggest conference for veterinarians in The Netherlands. Onswitch had their own stand for the first time and it was a great success. Many curious vets and technicians visited Peter Hundepool and Margit Bossard of Onswitch Benelux. And even better: they all left enthusiastic when they heard about all the things that Onswitch can do for their practices!
On Wednesday Alison Lambert was present as well. And because many Dutch vets know her from former congresses, she had a busy but nice day. Unfortunately Alison couldn’t stay any longer, because she had to attend a wedding on Friday (no, not the Royal wedding).

Dragons Den goes to Nottingham
Year 4 students at Nottingham Veterinary School take a year long course which provides them with business and entrepreneurial skills. The course culminates in a day long 'Business Game'. The students, under the guidance of a SPVS mentor, evaluate the acquisition and subsequent development of a veterinary practice, allowing them to put into action their range ofanalytical, marketing, financial, operational and other skills. Students undertake a number of tasks aligned to a balanced scorecard for the practice and also present their plans and ambitions to a 'Dragons Den'.
Alison Lambert, CEO of Onswitch, is a special lecturer at Nottingham, and is very appreciated by the students for the valuable marketing insights she brings to the course. Alison was involved in evaluating the Customer Perspective of the practice - Alison undertook mystery shopper phone calls to the teams and also judged a '30 second' radio or TV ad.
Onswitch very kindly sponsored the prize for the team which gained the most marks in the customer task - this was the Nova practice, also the overall winners. The team comprised Jo Mold, Hannah West, Leighanne Kursley, Amy Edwards, Hannah Brightmore, Alex Macdougall, Jessica Putman, Natasha Usherwood, Rachel Thomas and Beth Pritchard.
