Onswitch is famous for its 5 steps telephone master class
This training programme is very focussed on changing behaviour and as such is an intensive experience for all – there are no hiding places. Each 5 steps session is based on the use of inbound calls to the trainee as the day unfolds each trainee grows in confidence and learns the 5 step process
The trainees will keep taking calls until they get it right!
When your phone rings and you pay folks to handle your calls the training to make this better has to be based on phone handling.
The 5 steps uses the latest in telephone training kit and is fully wireless so we can work in practice and make use of store rooms, corridors, kitchens and large hedges ! (just ask is a long story!) Or we can do off site in a training space.
The 5 steps are rightly famous and as such if you haven’t had the experience you really need to try it.

We used Onswitch. Our receptionists had all attended external courses so we wanted to do something different and more personal to our practice and our team. Onswitch did a day’s training which involved videoing and recording the reception team taking mystery shopper calls. It showed them how demeanour and how they sound impacted on their call performance. Until you have seen and heard yourself, you don't really know how you come across. Onswitch worked on greeting, dealing with the call, and converting calls to appointments. By the end of the day the team produced a "how to take calls perfectly" training video. Onswitch made it fun and so even the most camera shy enjoyed the day. The training has filtered through to the whole practice team so anyone who rings our practice is dealt with in the same way. It is something we will be doing again with new staff.
